Q: How do I join the Teen Association of Model Railroaders?

A: Just print and send the mail-in form, also accessible from the box on the right of this page.

 

Q: I’ve just joined! How can I get the most out of being a member?

A: A good first step would be to tune in to our various social groups and feeds. Additionally, every month, all TAMR members receive The Hotbox, a newsletter with tips, columns, and features by other TAMR members.

Q: I can’t login with my username and password from the old TAMR website, and/or the lost password finder rejected my username.

A: Unfortunately the old user records could not be moved. You can sign in again with either your old or a new username and password, or just use your Facebook, Google, Yahoo!, OpenID, ect. account to login.

 

Q: I have a photograph I wish to share. How can I do it?

A: Log in or register, then create a new post. Upload your media, and add it to the post. Enter a title, and presto, every TAMR member can see your content. In addition, the TAMR website does not compress photographs in the same way some services like Facebook do, so the photographs are preserved with their full detail.

 

Q: I’ve posted photos on the TAMR Facebook group, and they were shrunk, and lost most of their detail. How do I use the TAMR website to post HD pictures to Facebook?

A: Log in and click the “New Media” button on the top of the page. Upload your photos to the site, and copy the “File URL” field into a new post on the Facebook TAMR group. The pictures will be crystal clear, and untampered with.

 

(We cannot guarantee that the website-hosted photo will always be accessible; upload it normally to Facebook as well to be sure it will always be available in some form)

 

Q: Where are the Historic Forums from the old TAMR website?

A: Our Historic Forums are stored in a very old format, and there’s no easy way to move them to this new site. Since so many people have contributed so much to them, we will add them to the site as soon as possible, and the webmaster will send any desired threads and messages on request.

 

Q: I’m confused about something regarding the social login, or want to log in with a service not listed.

A: Feel free to send any questions or requests directly to the webmaster with the Contact Us page. He will get back to you as soon as possible.
