These units, modified with EMD engines, are being phased out in favor of newer power. The RS8s that I actually managed to identify at Busan depot on the 9th April were: 3208,3216,3221,3223,3225,3228,3235... there were at least 14 examples there, and most of them appeared to be dumped and awaiting scrapping - I would guess that only a handful are still in service. - Nick Blyth report
