The following are from Nick Slocombe - "The first was taken at the Trans Labrador Highway grade crossing 8 kms east of Labrador City. The four units are on an empty Wabush mines train which they would have picked up at Ross Bay from the QNS&L. The second and third picture were taken on our way back to the airport to deliver the hire car prior to riding the train to Sept Iles. The train was crewed up ready to go and remained so until well into the afternoon. I took one picture from the road crossing, of the train with the mine behind and a close up of the lead unit 911. Well after that I was expecting to ride the train but we were delayed 24 hours so had to hire another car and set out along the Trans Labrador Highway eastwards. On our way back the eastbound signal protecting a passing loop at the grade crossing 22 kms out of Lab City was green, so I turned the pickup round and headed back a few kms to get a shot where the railway is just below the road on a ledge along a frozen lake."
