Alcos of Tanzania

Thanks to Andrew Jones for these photos! They operate a fleet of MX620 wide cab unit and YMD4s [RSD30 or DL535A] from DLW-India. The YMD4 fleet has two different styles of cab with both high and standard roof hieghts. They are c-c while the MX620 is of the 1-c-c-1 design common to parts of Africa. All photos were taken in 2001 through-out the country. The Alcos are still on some passenger service at this time but few reports come from there. Orignally 15 YMD4 unitw were made along with 25 MX620s.
